Click Photo Event - Crust: Tartelettes au Chocolat // Chocolate Tartlets


Arfi organized Books for Love, a fund raising for Indonesian cancer children, in which I took part as a bidder. I won the bidding for Passion Chocolat by Christelle Le Ru. Since the post system in Venezuela incredibly bad, I'd asked Arfi to send the book to my German address even though it means that I'll see her package whenever I'll come to Germany. But thanks to my mother in law, she sent the book to a friend of our friend who came to Caracas last July. YAY!

I was so thrilled when I saw the recipes inside the book. All sounds so chocoyummylicious. The first attempt was these mini chocolate tartelettes. I only changed the filling. Christelle used ground cinnamon, butter, dark chocolate, fresh cream and honey. I only used fresh cream and dark chocolate. This is also my contribution for Click Photo Event with this month's theme Crusts.

Tartlets Base
Ingredients:
80 gr sugar
1 egg
140 gr unsalted butter -- melted
270 gr flour
2 tbsp cocoa

Directions:
Mix sugar with egg and melted butter in a bowl
Add the flour and cocoa. Roll into ball. Chill for at least 15 minutes before use
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease 24 individual mini tartlets tin or mini-muffin tin
Press the pastry into the bottom and sides of each tin. Prick all over with a fork and chill for 15 minutes
Bake the tartlet bases for 10 minutes. Leave to cool and transfer to a serving dish
Fill each tartlet with chocolate filling and top with your favorite fruits



Filling
Ingredients:
200 gr dark chocolate
70 ml fresh cream

Directions:
Break the chocolate into pieces and place in a mixing bowl
Bring the fresh cream to boil. Pour over the chocolate pieces and stir until the chocolate is fully melted and turns into a creamy mixture
